I was at Batu Pahat for work recently, and this time round, due to some reason I had no place to stay. So I had to checked into a hotel. Because I wanted a Hotel nearby to where I work, I did not have much choices. The best I could get was this Garden Hotel located at 29, Jalan Jenang, 83000 Batu Pahat, Johor. Tel: 607-431-5999.

It was not too bad with Free Wifi Internet access @ the lounge & lobby floor. The room was pretty basic. A bed, 2 sofa, attached bathroom (small), a TV (both local & Singapore channels, no Astro channels)and Air-conditioning. But one basic thing missing was drinking water! They dont provide drinking water!!!! I asked the staff there and she said not provided! How can that be??? I had to go buy bottles of drinking water across the street. But it was acceptably clean, so I was quite ok with it. At RM98 per night (inclusive of breakfast), I expected it to be slightly better. Anyway, it has a small basement parking (about 13 lots) plus an outdoor parking. As for the view..... what view? Batu Pahat has got no view worth looking at! In Batu Pahat you meet people and you go for Good Food at very good price! Would you believe you can still get RM2 Chicken Rice! Well you can, just need to know where to get it. The people @ Batu Pahat are mostly very friendly. Well at least for most of the people I met.

Drinking sessions!

Its been a long long long time since I went for a night of drinking with friends, and recently a group of friends organized a get together drinking session at Plaza TTDI. First of all, I don't even know theres a Plaza TTDI and that its a place where one may find lots of pubs and bistro in operations. That shows how outdated I was in this pubbing activities.

Anyway, I had a few drinks and I realized I can't drink as much as I used to. I only had 1 and half mug of beer and I was sloshed. Kept thinking of my bed at home, it was so tiring. Must be the age. Never really did give much thought to how comfortable my bed was until tonight. But just how much could I used to drink? Well, I used to be able to hold my drinks well, and I can finish a whole bottle of Johnny Walker Black alone and still manage to go home. And how often do I used to drink? Well, I used to drink everyday except for Sundays.

The night actually got me wondering how in the hell did I drank so much previously. How could I have stomach so much alcohol in one night?

It was nice to be hanging out with the boys again! I missed all these drinking sessions. But one thing for sure, I would never want to go back to drinking that much. Been there! Done that! What I missed from these sessions are actually the socialising part. It was great to be talking nonsense, jokes etc!

Batu Pahat - Good Celcom 3G signal!

The Celcom 3G Wireless Broadband Service seems to be better at smaller town. At Batu Pahat area, I am getting the same stable and strong Celcom 3G signal. Comparing to those quality of service available at the Klang Valley area. Again, I trust this has to do with the possibility that no one use it here @ Batu Pahat. My investment in this Celcom 3G service is proven worthwhile.

Driving the national car.

Foreseeing the current economy situation in the country and in the world, one can't help but worry and start to practice conservation in spending. I got hold of an old national Proton Wira car and decided to drive this rather than my other high capacity car, as fuel economy is better, gives me more mileage. Manual drive always gives you better mileage. And most important, car maintenance is minimum. Not forgetting that our national car boast a very powerful and effective air-conditioning system. No need for V-kool!

Saw these nice wall posters in the new dining rooms at the Cafe & Rest. Fresh Unique Seafood 23. Lot 9B-3, Jalan Kemajuan, Section 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya. Tel: 03-7960-2088. Quite a pleasant feeling dining in such a room.

Nice Foot House!

I enjoy foot reflexology a lot and I often visits such centres providing such services all over town. Lately I went to this Kim Kim Foot Reflexology & Beauty centre located at Casa Tropicana and was amazed to see they have quite a nice decor and interior with big projection TV too. The sofa was nice and they provide a warmer pillow for our lower backs. The foot reflexology was not bad, but quality of such services is pretty subjective as it depends a lot on the individual master and the individual preference of a customer. But foot reflexology is claimed to be able to improve one's health apart from being relaxing.

I was dining at this seafood restaurant somewhere in Ulu Kelang and Ampang area, and I saw this thank you notice written on the tissue holder! Interesting way to thank your customers for eating crabs!!!! But I did not order crabs!

Non-Smoking Room's Ashtray.

Went for a trip to Penang recently, stayed at the Vistana Hotel. The room was not too bad, new, clean and pleasant. Quite spacious too.




But the most interesting was the following which I saw inside the non-smoking room, really got me wondering why! If it is a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, why put an ashtray in the room with a notice that says it is a non-smoking room.
