Saw these nice wall posters in the new dining rooms at the Cafe & Rest. Fresh Unique Seafood 23. Lot 9B-3, Jalan Kemajuan, Section 13, 46200 Petaling Jaya. Tel: 03-7960-2088. Quite a pleasant feeling dining in such a room.

Nice Foot House!

I enjoy foot reflexology a lot and I often visits such centres providing such services all over town. Lately I went to this Kim Kim Foot Reflexology & Beauty centre located at Casa Tropicana and was amazed to see they have quite a nice decor and interior with big projection TV too. The sofa was nice and they provide a warmer pillow for our lower backs. The foot reflexology was not bad, but quality of such services is pretty subjective as it depends a lot on the individual master and the individual preference of a customer. But foot reflexology is claimed to be able to improve one's health apart from being relaxing.

I was dining at this seafood restaurant somewhere in Ulu Kelang and Ampang area, and I saw this thank you notice written on the tissue holder! Interesting way to thank your customers for eating crabs!!!! But I did not order crabs!

Non-Smoking Room's Ashtray.

Went for a trip to Penang recently, stayed at the Vistana Hotel. The room was not too bad, new, clean and pleasant. Quite spacious too.




But the most interesting was the following which I saw inside the non-smoking room, really got me wondering why! If it is a non-smoking room on a non-smoking floor, why put an ashtray in the room with a notice that says it is a non-smoking room.

Great Food, Ipoh Mari Punya!

Ipoh is situated in the state of Perak, Malaysia; it is famous for their good food and at very attractive pricing. Like this Pusing Public Seafood Restaurant that serves really great Chinese cuisine dishes. Try their Live fish dishes such as Garoupa and KuaiFah fish, their prawn dishes and their Pork Ribs dishes. Next, one must try the popular Rojak served at a shop somewhere in the Ipoh Old Town area near the KAMDAR shop. It is damn good, but be there early as they go out of stock fast. The Ipoh Old Town Choong Sun Rojak, just ask around, people will tell you how to get there.

I remember I read a report from somewhere saying that there are more females than males in the world, and that their numbers seems to be growing faster than their counterpart, the males. With such figures, it can be easily predicted that they will eventually rule the world. More and more females are now holding top positions in the world, and they are as successful as the males in all areas of industries. While at the mean time, the males seem to be tired of being successful and seems to be getting lazier. The females seems to be better managers of people, better managers of work, better managers of stress. (including mental stress, emotional stress and physical stress such as PAIN) Females are also directors of time and seem to be gifted in multitasking. Females also seem to flair in judging people, not to mention observant & sensitive to minute details.

Or is it just that males are just plain complacent being labelled as the leader of the house since the beginning of the world? Or males are just simply put: LAZY.

A favourite food detour en-route to Genting Highlands

Here’s a place that I often go for some good food when taking a trip to or from Genting Highlands. It is located in Batu Caves area and the place is called Pan Heong Restoran. They serve some nice food such as:

Dining at Mum's Place

There is this restaurant serving local dishes located @ 31-1 to 39-1 Jalan PJU 8/5A, Damansara Perdana, PJ, Selangor. It has a very nice ambiance, decor and furnitures. And the furnitures there are for sale, for those interested. Its like a furniture showroom cum restaurant. WIth a nice catchy name too, called Mum's Place

As for the food, one must try their Goreng Ikan Bawal Hitam with sambal petai and their Devils Curry Chicken. (Sorry tak ada pictures to show, tak bawa handphone.)

Alternate Steam Live Garoupa!

Steam King Seafood Restaurant located in Dataran Sunway, Kota Damansara, is another option for a good dish of "Steam Live Garoupa Fish". But they only have Live swimming Sea Garoupa (Hoi Pan) and Tiger Garoupa (LoFu Pan) only. But their specialty is in Steaming Fish and so far it has always come out GOOD for me! And I find their steam fish technique better than those at Unique Seafood 23. One more goody dish from them is the "Sengua Crab-Meat with Bean Curd", it is a must try dish!

The Gardens

I visited the Gardens Complex yesterday located next to the Mid Valley Shopping Complex. The complex houses lots of shops of branded and high end goods, so it was more like a window shopping for me. I am not sure if some of the branded goods are better priced here compared to Singapore or Hongkong. Need to compare the price one of these days when I visit Singapore.

The only money I spent at The Gardens was on food at this Pancake house called Paddington House of Pancakes. (Unit LG-216, Lower Ground Floor, The Gardens, Midvalley City, Lingkaran Syed Putra, KL) The pancakes is nice but costly, but their coffee and tea are moderately priced. However, their service has got room for improvement.

Oriental Pavilion

Looking for some chinese cuisine fine dining? There is this Oriental Pavilion Restaurant located at Jaya 33, Petaling Jaya. The place has a fairly nice ambiance, with a nice wide window view plus the parking at Jaya 33 is cool. As for the food, I find it good enough for the price, I tried their LoongTan Fish, roast pork + barbecue pork, dim sum spare ribs, dim sum chicken legs, The small little chicken (Sah-Deen Chicken), prawn too, and all was good.


But the only set back was that as I was having lunch there late, they actually switched off the Air-Cond at 3pm sharp, I left the place at 3.30pm, so my last 30 minutes there was no fun, it really spoilt the entire experience.

Ah yes, charge it to your Citibank Credit Card as you will get a 10% discount.

Hongkong Dim Sum at Damansara Jaya, PJ

Craving for Hongkong Dim Sum? Not easy to get good dim sum haven at affordable price nowadays but this newly opened Restoran Jin Xuan Hong Kong Dim Sum will give you a satisfactory Dim Sum meal at a fine place at good price. It is located on Jalan SS22/19, Damanasara Jaya, Petaling Jaya. They are open from 7am – 3pm.





Some of the goodies I have tried and recommends are as follow: “LoMaiKai”, “YuMai”, “Porridge”, “Siew Mai” & “Har Kow”. The spare ribs were not bad too! Their Small Dim is priced at RM3, Medium Dim is at RM3.50, Big Dim is at RM4, Special Dim RM5 and Superb Dim at RM10.



Only problem though is the parking and the traffic there. But you may choose to park at the Atria complex behind the shop, it would be much easier. Overall it is good value, fair quality and pleasant place.
